From August 5 to 15, the Lagos Book Fair will offer a wide range of literary suggestions. In addition to a diverse programme that includes music, dance, games, storytelling sessions, and book presentations. Lagos World Music


On August 5, 6, 12, and 13, you can be part of Lagos World Music. This event, held at Praça do Infante, will bring various musical genres from different parts of the world. Among the highlights will be performances by artists from Croatia, Brazil, and Guinea-Conakry, providing a rich and multicultural musical experience.

Traditions in the Parishes


In the parishes of Lagos, tradition continues to be celebrated with enthusiasm. In Odiáxere, on August 5, the 33rd Folklore Festival will take place. This event preserves and promotes traditional Portuguese dances and music. In Bensafrim, from August 11 to 13, the 19th edition of FETAAL – the Fair of Traditions and Arts of the Algarve will be held, showcasing the region's rich culture and crafts.

Lagos Summer Fest


Cais da Solaria will be the epicentre of youth entertainment on August 26 and 27, with the Lagos Summer Fest – Youth Party. This event will feature renowned artists such as Pete Tha Zouk, Harold, and Miguel Azevedo, guaranteeing nights of great music and fun.

Festa do Banho 29


To close the month, on August 29, Lagos will celebrate one of its most beloved traditions, the Festa do Banho 29. This event includes a concert with popular artist Toy, and promises to be a moment of great celebration and joy for all participants.
